Lawrence General Hospital has formed an affiliation with Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center to provide superior local care for children suffering from a variety of conditions and diseases.
In the fall of 2010, Lawrence General Hospital formed a clinical affiliation with Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center that enables Lawrence General to enhance the quality of the care we offer through our family-friendly Pediatric Center.
The principal pediatric teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine, Floating Hospital for Children is nationally recognized for the quality of its clinical programs and services and its groundbreaking pediatric research.
Floating Hospital for Children pediatricians are on-site at Lawrence General Hospital 24/7/365, and help to coordinate care with your child’s primary care pediatrician. And Floating Hospital for Children specialists are on-site to provide pediatric general surgery, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric cardiology and pediatric neurology services – right here at Lawrence General Hospital.
Having Floating Hospital for Children specialists available on-site means there’s no reason for you to take your child into Boston for the highest level of care. On the other hand, if your child’s medical condition gets to a stage that requires additional resources, we have a special transport service that provides a safe and rapid transfer to Boston to ensure the continuity of care for your child.
Together, both organizations bring high value, expert care to your family when you need it most.
