About Floating Hospital
Floating Hospital for Children has been caring for kids since 1894. We began as a hospital ship for children that sailed Boston Harbor and instituted the concept of family-centered care. Today, Floating Hospital for Children is a major academic medical center in downtown Boston and the principal pediatric teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine. It is nationally recognized for the quality of its clinical programs and services and its groundbreaking pediatric research.
